School Motto

SEMPER AD MAIORA, which means "Strive for Higher Attainments" in Latin, is the school motto and special attention will be given for students to fully channelize their energies towards this goal. Apart from fulfilling its primary aim to academic achievement, equal emphasis will be given to moral, social and cultural classes for the all round development of a student, along with normal but essential extra curricular activities.

Objectives

All in all, the school will monitor the emergence of students well-equipped not only to improve their own lot and that of the society but also to address, in the best possible manner, the various personal, social and moral problems which this complex human life has in abundance. Towards this end, lessons and instructions, which will ensure the blossoming forth of a child into a worthy citizen on whom the immediate society and nation can be proud of, will be imparted.

Great importance is given to discipline and emphasis is laid on a very high standard of class conduct and personal behaviour. Although the main aim of the school is to provide adequate facilities for active academic pursuit, sincere efforts have been made to inculcate in the students a sense of honesty, loyalty, dignity of labour and pride in national heritage, traditions and culture.

Location

The school is situated in West Point (connected by Gandhi Road) and affords a peaceful surrounding so essential in the pursuit of academic excellence. It is well divorced from the hustle and bustle of Darjeeling town and is located in idyllic surroundings conducive to intellectual contemplation and advancement.
